Why CareCade was built

Washington's Developmental Disabilities Administration serves tens of thousands of people through small home care agencies, but those agencies carry heavy administrative loads — DSHS reporting, scheduling, visit verification, and billing — usually with little back-office staff. A 2025 state audit found DDA case managers carrying caseloads more than double the target and a large share of enrolled clients receiving no paid services. CareCade was built to remove the paperwork burden so small agencies can serve more clients without adding overhead, and to make the DDA provider landscape transparent to the families and case managers who navigate it.

What CareCade includes

Who CareCade is not for

CareCade is not a clinical or medical-records system and is not built for:

• Skilled Medicare-certified home health (OASIS, PDGM, clinical nursing documentation)

• Primary care or any clinical decision-making
• Agencies outside Washington State (current focus is Washington DDA/HCBS)
