Accessing Notification Settings

  1. Go to SettingsNotifications

Organization Settings

Control what gets sent:

Staff Notifications

Push Notifications

Mobile App

Push notifications for:

  • New appointments
  • Schedule changes
  • Chat messages

Enabling

Staff must:

  1. Allow notifications in device settings
  2. Enable in CareCade app settings

Email Notifications

Digest Options

Instead of individual emails:

  • Immediate — Each event triggers email
  • Daily Digest — Summary once daily
  • Weekly Digest — Summary once weekly

Email Timing

Configure when digests send:

  • Daily: Set time (e.g., 8:00 AM)
  • Weekly: Set day and time

Per-User Settings

Staff can customize their own:

  1. Profile → Notification Preferences
  2. Toggle individual notification types
  3. Choose email frequency

Admins set defaults; users can adjust.


Quiet Hours

Block notifications during off-hours:

  1. Enable Quiet Hours
  2. Set start time (e.g., 9 PM)
  3. Set end time (e.g., 7 AM)
  4. Notifications held until end

Exception: Urgent/emergency notifications still send.


Tips

  • Start with defaults — Adjust based on feedback
  • Use digests — Reduce email overload
  • Enable push — Faster than email
  • Review periodically — Needs change
