When to Change Your Password
Good Reasons to Change
- It's been a while (every 6-12 months)
- You suspect it's been compromised
- You shared it accidentally

Changing Your Password
Step by Step
- Open CareCade
- Go to Settings
- Tap Security or Password
- Select Change Password
- Enter your current password
- Enter your new password
- Confirm your new password
- Tap Save or Update
After Changing
- You may be logged out of other devices
- Use new password immediately
- Update saved passwords if applicable
- Don't write it down insecurely
Password Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Most systems require:
- At least 8 characters
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
- May require special character

Create strong passwords:
- Longer is better (12+ characters)
- Mix of all character types

Don't use:
- Simple patterns (123456, abcdef)
- Personal info (birthdate, name)

- Same password as other accounts

Forgot Your Password
Resetting Password
If you can't remember:
- Open CareCade app
- On login screen, tap Forgot Password?
- Enter your email address
- Tap Send Reset Link
- Check your email
- Click the reset link
- Create new password
- Log in with new password
If Link Doesn't Arrive
Wait 5-10 minutes, then:
- Check spam/junk folder
- Try again with correct email
- Make sure email is registered
- Contact administrator if needed
Link Expiration
Reset links typically:
- Expire in 24 hours
- Work only once
- Must be used from same device (sometimes)
- Request new one if expired
Two-Factor Authentication
What It Is
Extra security requiring:
- Something you know (password)
- Something you have (phone, app)
If You Have 2FA
When changing password:
- May need to verify with 2FA
- Enter code from phone
- Backup codes may work
