Logging Into Your Account
Access your CareCade account to view your schedule, manage appointments, and stay connected with your team. Here's how to log in for the first time and every time after.
First-Time Login
Setting Up Your Password
When your administrator creates your account, you'll receive an email invitation:
- Open the email from CareCade
- Click Set Up Your Account
- You'll be taken to a secure page
- Create a password:
- At least 8 characters
- Include uppercase and lowercase letters
- Include at least one number
- Confirm your password
- Click Create Account
Logging In
After setting your password:
- Open the CareCade app
- Enter your organization's code (if prompted)
- Enter your email address
- Enter your password
- Tap Sign In
Finding Your Organization Code
Some organizations require a code to identify them:
- Check your welcome email for the code
- Ask your administrator
- It's usually your organization's name or a short abbreviation
Regular Login
Each time you open the app:
- Enter your email
- Enter your password
- Tap Sign In
Stay Signed In
For convenience, you can stay signed in:
- After entering credentials, enable Remember Me
- You won't need to enter your password each time
- You'll still need to re-authenticate periodically for security
Two-Factor Authentication
If your organization requires extra security:
- Enter your email and password
- A verification code is sent to your phone (SMS) or email
- Enter the code when prompted
- Tap Verify
The code expires after a few minutes, so enter it promptly.
Biometric Login
Enable fingerprint or face recognition for faster access:
Setting Up Biometrics
- Log in with your password
- Go to Settings → Security
- Enable Use Biometrics
- Confirm with your fingerprint or face
- Next time, you can log in with biometrics
Using Biometric Login
- Open the app
- When prompted, use your fingerprint or face
- If biometrics fail, tap Use Password instead
Forgot Password
If you've forgotten your password:
- Open the CareCade app
- Tap Forgot Password?
- Enter your email address
- Tap Send Reset Link
- Check your email for the reset link
- Click the link and create a new password
- Return to the app and log in
Note: The reset link expires in 24 hours. Request a new one if needed.
Can't Log In?
Common Issues
"Invalid credentials"
- Check your email is spelled correctly
- Check your password (caps lock?)
- Try the "Forgot Password" option
"Account locked"
- Too many failed attempts
- Wait 15-30 minutes and try again
- Contact your administrator if urgent
"Organization not found"
- Check your organization code
- Ask your administrator for the correct code
"Account deactivated"
- Contact your administrator
- Your account may need to be reactivated
Getting Help
If you're still having trouble:
- Contact your administrator
- Provide your email address
- Describe the error message you're seeing
- They can reset your account or investigate
Logging Out
To sign out of the app:
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll to the bottom
- Tap Sign Out
- Confirm when prompted
When to log out:
- Using a shared device
- Before uninstalling the app
- If asked to by your administrator
- For security after suspicious activity
Multiple Devices
You can be logged in on multiple devices, but:
- Some actions may require re-authentication
- Your administrator can see your active sessions
- Log out of devices you're not using
