Requesting Time Off
Submit time-off requests through the CareCade app when you need to take vacation, sick days, or other leave. Your requests go to your administrator for approval.
Types of Time Off
Vacation/PTO
Planned time away:
- Request in advance

When you're ill:

Submitting a Request
Step by Step
- Open the CareCade app
- Go to Settings or Time Off section
- Tap Request Time Off
- Fill in the details:
- Leave type
- Start date
- End date
- Hours per day (if partial)
- Reason (optional but helpful)
- Tap Submit Request
What to Include
For best results:
- Dates: Be specific about start and end
- Type: Select correct leave type
- Reason: Brief explanation helps approval
- Coverage: Note if coverage is arranged
Partial Days
If you need only part of a day:
- Select the date
- Choose "Partial Day"
- Enter start and end time
- Or enter hours needed off

Checking Status
View your request status:
- Go to Time Off or My Requests
- See list of all requests
- Status shows for each

Managing Your Time Off
Viewing Balance
Check your available time off:
- Go to Time Off section
- View available balances by type
- See used and remaining hours
- Plan accordingly
Viewing History
See past requests:
- Go to Time Off → History
- View all past requests
- See dates, types, and status
- Track patterns over time
Cancelling a Request
If plans change:
- Find the pending request
- Tap Cancel Request
- Confirm cancellation
- Time returns to available balance
Note: You can only cancel pending requests. Approved requests may require administrator action.
